Tragic Beautiful X MHG My Body, My Rules | Charity Art Tapestry

Tell ’em how it is with the My Body, My Rules tapestry! “My Body, My Rules” is a piece that celebrates body autonomy. In a world constantly trying to convince s*x workers, LGBTQIA+, and neurodivergent people that they do not have the right to their own bodies, this piece serves as a small and gentle reminder that although we cannot control these outside circumstances, safety and love can and should always be a priority in our communities, and within ourselves.

To celebrate International S*x Workers’ Day, the proceeds from the sale of this tapestry will be donated to Respect Inc. Respect Inc is an organisation protecting and promoting the rights, health and wellbeing of Queensland s*x workers, by providing a range of education, information and resources for SWs, and improving the lives of SWs by eliminating stigma and discrimination via social, legislative and political change.

About the Artist: MHG (they/them) is a non-binary FSSW and creative from Meanjin. They work primarily with film photography and collage – creating images that explore themes of mental health, sexuality and surviving in a world that often feels like it thrives on hate and fear.
